apies.dev ("apies.dev", "we", "us") builds practical automation and AI tools for businesses. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why, how we protect it, and the rights you have under Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25) and applicable Canadian privacy law.
1. Who is responsible
The person in charge of the protection of personal information is the Privacy Officer. For any privacy question or to exercise your rights, contact us at hello@apies.dev or by mail at [business mailing address], Québec, Canada.
2. What we collect
Information you give us. When you use our Smart Chat diagnostic form or contact us, we collect the details you choose to provide — typically your name, email address, business name, and your answers about your workflow and needs.
Information collected automatically. When you browse the site we may collect technical data such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and referring source. This is collected through the analytics tools described in Section 5.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information, and we ask that you not send any through the forms on this site.
3. Why we use it
- To respond to your inquiry and book a discovery call;
- To understand your needs and prepare a relevant proposal;
- To send you information you requested (e.g. a confirmation email);
- To measure and improve the performance of the site;
- To comply with our legal obligations.
We rely on your consent for marketing analytics and advertising measurement, and on our legitimate need to operate the site for the rest. You can withdraw consent at any time (Section 7).
4. Consent
By submitting a form, you consent to our use of the information for the purposes above. Analytics and advertising trackers that use cookies are only activated after you give consent through our cookie notice. You may decline or withdraw that consent without losing access to the site.
5. Cookies, analytics, and trackers
We use the following tools. Until you consent, our advertising tracker does not run and sets no cookies; our analytics run in a privacy-preserving, cookieless mode by default.
- Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) — site usage measurement. Loaded in consent-denied (cookieless) mode by default, with IP anonymization.
- Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms, Inc.) — advertising measurement. Loads and sets cookies only after you consent.
- Resend (used to deliver transactional emails you request).
- Vercel (website hosting and delivery).
6. Sharing and cross-border transfer
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers listed above, strictly to provide the services described. Some of these providers are located outside Quebec, including in the United States, which means your information may be processed there under that jurisdiction's laws. Before relying on such providers we assess that the information receives adequate protection, as required by Law 25. We may also disclose information where required by law.
7. Your rights
Under Law 25 you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you;
- Rectify information that is inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date;
- Withdraw your consent to a use, including analytics and advertising;
- Request deletion or de-indexing of your information, where the law allows;
- Receive a copy of the information you provided in a structured, commonly used technological format (portability).
To exercise any of these, email hello@apies.dev. We respond within the time limits set by law (generally 30 days).
8. Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law, after which it is destroyed or anonymized.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access.
10. Automated processing
We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing of your personal information.
11. Minors
This site is intended for businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
12. Complaints
If you are not satisfied with how we handle your personal information, you may contact us first at hello@apies.dev. You also have the right to file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.
13. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top reflects the latest version; material changes will be highlighted on this page.
